WHAT IS THERAPY AND WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR IT?

Therapy is a process of exploring one's inner world, thought patterns, and emotional responses in a safe, non-judgmental space. A therapist is not someone who gives advice or offers ready-made solutions; they are a neutral companion who helps the individual understand and resolve the complexities of their life.

Sustainability is at the core of my approach to therapy. Therapy isn't a process that should last forever. My main goal is to create an individual roadmap that extends beyond the protected confines of the therapy room. When you integrate the coping mechanisms we discover in sessions into your daily life, you gain the strength and awareness to face new challenges in the future using your own resources.

So, should everyone get therapy?

No. Therapy is not a mandatory process for everyone. Individuals who feel ready to recognize, understand, and change things in their lives, or who need support under the weight of current difficulties, should seek therapy. The desire to take responsibility for your own well-being is the most fundamental fuel of the process.

What are behavioral therapies and are they right for me?

My work is primarily based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). Drawing on my experience with psychoanalytically oriented seminars and case formulation training, I find it more effective to create a roadmap tailored to each client's individual needs rather than fitting the process into a single mold.

Behavioral approaches examine how the meanings we assign to events, our automatic thoughts and beliefs, shape our emotions and actions, rather than the events themselves. It is the most scientifically proven approach; it is goal-oriented, collaborative, and structured.

When is this approach suitable for you?

  • If you say, "I understand why I feel this way, but I don't know how to change my behavior,"

  • If you want the things discussed in the sessions to not remain abstract, but to be transformed into concrete and practical coping tools,

  • If you want to recognize your own mental traps (catastrophizing, all-or-nothing thinking, etc.) and replace them with more functional alternatives,

  • If you are open to actively participating in the process and experimenting with small steps between sessions.
